Women’s Work is an exhibition and oral history project that explores the relationship between contemporary fiber art and its roots in domesticity and gender-specific roles.  Over 30 contemporary Georgia fiber artists from all over the state are represented in the show.

In conjunction with the exhibition, curator Lori Gann-Smith will hold a workshop entitled “Stitiching Together:  Past and Present.”  (DATE AND TIME HERE…)
Workshop participants will use digital images and traditional women’s arts like stitching and quilting to create a piece of art commemorating an important woman or women in their lives.  This interactive event is free and open to the public.  No prior experience in fiber art is necessary.  Please call Allison Murphy at (77) 534-6263 for more information and to make reservations as the workshop is limited to 12 participants.
